500,000 people. Enough to fill University of Phoenix Stadium eight times! That’s how many lives the World Health Organization (WHO) believes could be saved every year if the use of trans fats is eliminated. So, WHO is urging governments worldwide to wipe out trans fats from the global food supply within the next five years.
The fats are generally considered by doctors to be bad for your heart and are often found in common fried foods, fast food and many snacks such as cookies, crackers, and microwave popcorn.
